Crispy air-fried breaded scallops - a mess-free alternative to deep frying for golden, tender scallops.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup finely crushed buttery crackers (such as Ritz®)
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 pound sea scallops, patted dry
  • cooking spray
Instructions:
  • Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (198°C) for optimal results.
  • Combine cracker crumbs, garlic powder, and seafood seasoning in one bowl, and pour melted butter into another bowl.
  • Coat each scallop in rich melted butter, then generously roll in the flavorful breading until fully covered. Place on a plate and continue with the rest of the scallops.
  • Gently coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place scallops in the basket, ensuring they are not touching, and work in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry the scallops for 2 minutes. Carefully flip them with a small spatula and continue cooking until they turn opaque, about 2 more minutes.
