Air fryer grapefruit halves with sweet butter topping - a versatile and irresistible treat for brunch or snacking.
Ingredients:
  • 1 red grapefruit, refrigerated
  • 1 tablespoon softened butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for optimum cooking temperature.
  • Cut grapefruit in half. Trim a thin slice off the bottom of each half to stabilize them. Use a sharp knife to separate the fruit from the skin, then divide the segments for easier eating later.
  • Mix softened butter and 3 teaspoons of brown sugar in a small bowl. Spread the mixture over each grapefruit half and sprinkle with the remaining brown sugar.
  • Wrap each grapefruit half in a 5-inch square of aluminum foil, ensuring the edges are folded up to seal in the juices, then transfer them to the air fryer basket.
  • Place your dish in the air fryer and watch as the sugar mixture bubbles and caramelizes in just 6 to 7 minutes. Enhance the flavor by sprinkling the fruit with fragrant cinnamon before serving.
