Air fry butterflied shrimp until crispy, serve with cocktail sauce for a light and tasty dish.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tablespoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  • 0.25 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pound large shrimp - peeled, deveined, and butterflied with tails on
  • 2 medium eggs, beaten
  • 1.5 cups panko bread crumbs
  • nonstick cooking spray
Instructions:
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large resealable plastic bag, mix together flour, seafood seasoning, paprika, salt, parsley, and black pepper. Seal the bag and shake well to blend the flavors.
  • Gently pat dry the shrimp with a paper towel. Coat the shrimp in seasoned flour in batches, then dip in beaten egg and coat with panko breadcrumbs. Arrange the breaded shrimp in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not crowded, with the butterflied side facing down.
  • Spritz the tops with nonstick cooking spray and cook for 3 minutes. Flip the shrimp using tongs, then spray the tops with more cooking spray. Continue cooking for 4 minutes or until crispy. Serve immediately.
