Baked apple blossoms with a decadent caramel walnut filling.
Ingredients:
  • 4 (about 200g each) red apples
  • 60g butter, melted
  • 25g (1/4 cup) walnuts, finely chopped
  • 4 Jersey Caramels, finely chopped
  • Ice-cream or double cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • Remove the apple tops and core using a melon baller, then delicately score 2 circles into the cut side, being careful not to cut through the base.
  • Cut into the side of the apples while keeping the base intact. Brush the cut sides with melted butter, letting it seep into the crevices. Air fry at 180C for 15 minutes.
  • Gently transfer the apples to a plate using tongs. Fill each apple cavity with walnuts and caramel pieces. Brush each apple with additional butter for a rich flavor.
  • Continue cooking the apples for an additional 10 minutes. Enjoy with a side of ice cream or double cream.
