Effortless caramelized bananas are a delightful topping for vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt.
Ingredients:
  • 2 large firm bananas
  • 1 tablespoon melted salted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat your air fryer to a perfect 390 degrees F (195 degrees C).
  • Lay out banana slices on a plate and generously drizzle with a mixture of butter and vanilla extract.
  • Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together. Sprinkle half of the sugar mixture evenly over one side of the slices, then flip and sprinkle the rest over the other side, ensuring they are fully coated.
  • Prepare the air fryer basket by spraying with cooking spray or lining with parchment paper.
  • Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not too close together. Air fry until they reach your desired level of golden brown and caramelization, which should take 7 to 9 minutes. No need to flip the slices during cooking.
  • Take the bananas out of the basket, allow them to cool for a moment, and enjoy.
