Air fryer Caramilk crumpet French toast recipe

Transform store-bought crumpets into a decadent treat by slathering them with Caramilk butter, dipping in condensed milk and air frying until golden. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert!
Ingredients:
  • 100g Caramilk chocolate, grated, plus extra to serve
  • 60g salted butter, softened
  • 6 round crumpets
  • 2 eggs
  • 20.60 gm milk
  • 161.25 gm sweetened condensed milk
  • Thickened cream, whipped
Instructions:
  • Line the air fryer base with foil, making sure it extends at least 1 inch up the sides of the basket.
  • Mix together the Caramilk and butter, then divide into 6 portions. Spread each portion onto a crumpet, cut in half, and sandwich together.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and 2 tbsp of sweetened condensed milk. Dip each crumpet sandwich in the mixture, ensuring all sides are coated well. Transfer to the air fryer basket. Repeat for the remaining crumpet sandwiches. Drizzle over the remaining sweetened condensed milk. Air fry at 150C for 15 minutes or until crumpets are golden and caramelized.
  • Before serving, generously sprinkle extra Caramilk on top and finish with a dollop of whipped cream.
