Air fryer Doritos-crumbed chicken tenders recipe

Make Nacho Cheese Doritos chicken tenderloins in the air fryer for a quick and easy crispy dish.
Ingredients:
  • 500g chicken tenderloins, halved crossways
  • 250ml (1 cup) buttermilk
  • 170g packet Nacho Cheese corn chips
  • 1 egg, lightly whisked
  • 50g (1/3 cup) plain flour
  • Mild salsa, to serve
Instructions:
  • Marinate the chicken in buttermilk in a glass or ceramic bowl, covered, in the fridge for 4 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 180C while lining a baking tray with baking paper.
  • Pulse corn chips in a food processor until coarsely chopped, then transfer to a plate. Place egg in a shallow bowl and flour on a separate plate.
  • After draining the chicken, discard the buttermilk. Coat the chicken in flour, shake off excess. Dip in egg and coat with corn chips by pressing firmly. Place on prepared tray.
  • Air fry half of the chicken until it's golden and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Repeat with the rest of the chicken tenders.
  • Plate the dish and accompany it with salsa.
