Effortlessly make homemade General Tso's chicken in minutes using your air fryer for a fast and delicious meal!
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha
  • 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon chopped scallions, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds, or to taste
Instructions:
  • To make the sauce, mix together broth, sesame oil, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, garlic, and Sriracha in a saucepan. Whisk until cornstarch dissolves. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then simmer on low heat.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) following the manufacturer's guidelines.
  • In a bowl, combine chicken, cornstarch, and soy sauce, ensuring the chicken is evenly coated. Transfer the coated chicken to the air fryer basket and spray with cooking spray.
  • Place the ingredients in the preheated air fryer and cook for 8 minutes. Shake the basket to separate any stuck-together pieces, then spray with cooking spray. Cook for an additional 8 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked without any pink in the center.
  • Place the chicken in a sizable bowl and generously pour the sauce over it, ensuring every piece is well-coated. Add a finishing touch with scallions and sesame seeds for a delightful presentation.
