Create quick and flavorful burgers with easy cleanup. Toast buns in the air fryer for added crunch.
Ingredients:
  • For the quick burger sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons minced pickles
  • For the burgers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Nonstick spray, for air fryer
  • 4 ounces Cheddar cheese, sliced
  • For serving
  • 3 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce
  • Sliced tomato
  • Sliced red onion
Instructions:
  • Prepare the burger sauce by mixing together mayonnaise, ketchup, and minced pickles in a small bowl. Refrigerate until you are ready to build the burgers.
  • Form the burger patties by dividing the ground beef into 3 equal 6-ounce portions and shaping them into flat patties slightly larger than the buns and 1/3-1/2 inch thick. Press your thumb into the center of each patty to prevent them from swelling while cooking. Feel free to eyeball the sizes or use a scale for accuracy.
  • Season the burger patties generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
  • Get your air fryer ready by pouring 1 cup of water into the basket to avoid smoking. Give the basket a quick spray with nonstick spray.
  • Prepare the burgers: Arrange them in the air fryer basket, ensuring there is space between each one. Air fry at 350˚F for 8 minutes.
  • Once the burgers are cooked, top them with a few slices of Cheddar cheese. Place them back in the air fryer and cook for an extra 1-2 minutes until the cheese is gooey and melted.
  • Toast the buns by placing them cut-side up in the air fryer and air fry for 1 minute, rotating until toasted.
