Air fried Nutella and jam-filled mini puff pastry croissants.
Ingredients:
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 8 teaspoons chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella®)
  • 4 teaspoons strawberry jam
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon sugar, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat your air fryer to 300 degrees Fahrenheit (150 degrees Celsius).
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a 12-inch square. Cut it into 8 triangles by first cutting it into 4 equal squares and then halving each square diagonally.
  • Place the triangle with the wide end towards you and the point away from you. Moisten the edges of each triangle with water using your fingertip. Whisk the egg and tablespoon of water in a small bowl, and set it aside.
  • Place 1 teaspoon of delicious Nutella and 1/2 teaspoon of sweet strawberry jam in the center. Roll the dough from the wide end over the filling towards the point, making sure to pinch the dough to prevent any spillage, and shape the ends into a crescent. Finish by brushing each crescent with egg wash and sprinkling with cinnamon sugar.
  • Prepare the air fryer basket by lining it with parchment paper or spraying it with cooking spray. Then, arrange the croissants in the basket with the seam side down, ensuring they are not touching each other.
  • Air fry until beautifully golden brown, 11 to 14 minutes, adjusting as needed based on the size and brand of your air fryer.
  • Place on a wire rack to cool for 5 minutes before serving warm.
