30-Minute Air-Fried Orange Chicken: A tasty dish served over white or cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 0.25 cup arrowroot powder
  • 1 medium orange, zested and juiced
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons water
Instructions:
  • Preheat your 5.3-quart air fryer to 400°F (200°C per manufacturer's recommendation and lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • 1. Start by placing the chicken in a mixing bowl. Set aside 1 1/2 teaspoons of arrowroot powder in a small bowl for later use. Sprinkle the rest of the arrowroot powder over the chicken and toss until evenly coated. Lightly spray with cooking spray and arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Air-fry for a total of 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  • As the chicken simmers, blend orange zest, orange juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, sesame oil, ginger, fish sauce, and Sriracha in a small saucepan over medium heat until it boils.
  • Whisk reserved arrowroot powder into water until smooth. Gradually pour into saucepan while stirring vigorously to prevent lumps. Once the mixture thickens, remove from heat.
  • Combine the sauce with the cooked chicken from the air fryer.
