Crispy air fryer chicken gizzards, seasoned with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika for a flavorful snack or meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound chicken gizzards
  • 0.33333334326744 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons seasoned salt (such as LAWRY'S®)
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • cooking spray
Instructions:
  • Place a large pot of water on high heat until it reaches a rolling boil. Add the gizzards and cook them in the boiling water for 30 minutes. Then, drain the gizzards.
  • In a shallow plastic container, combine flour, seasoned salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cover with the lid and shake well. Add gizzards to the seasoned flour, cover, and shake until evenly coated.
  • Transfer the beaten egg to a small bowl. Coat each gizzard in egg, then coat with seasoned flour. Seal the lid and shake well. Allow to rest for 5 minutes.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) while you prepare the rest of the recipe.
  • Place the gizzards in the air fryer basket and generously coat them with cooking spray.
  • Cook in the preheated air fryer for 4 minutes, then shake the basket, coat with more cooking spray to cover any chalky spots, and cook for an additional 4 minutes.
