Air-fried sweet wontons filled with creamy peanut butter, honey, and toasty sesame seeds for a deliciously crispy snack.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 teaspoons honey
  • 4 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 30 (3.5 inch square) wonton wrappers
  • cooking spray
  • 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Combine creamy peanut butter, rich brown sugar, sweet honey, and nutty sesame seeds in a small bowl.
  • Take a wonton square and moisten its edges by gently using your index finger dipped in water. Put 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of the peanut butter mixture in the center, then fold it diagonally to create a triangle shape, firmly pressing the edges. Be mindful not to overfill to prevent the mixture from spilling out.
  • Shape a triangle with the wonton wrapper, then fold the bottom corners around your index finger so they meet. Dampen the two wonton corners, press together to seal, and continue with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F (188 degrees C) as per manufacturer's instructions, for 5 minutes.
  • Fry the wontons in batches in the fryer basket without overcrowding. Lightly spray with cooking spray and cook until they turn a light golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes, flipping halfway through. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with confectioners' sugar before serving.
