Savory meat and veggies in spicy broth. Delicious Chorba!
Ingredients:
  • Salt and pepper, harissa
  • Ground coriander
  • Ground caraway
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Coriander leaves, to serve
  • 1 turnip, chopped
  • Chickpeas (optional)
  • 300-500g beef, cubed (such as boneless beef shoulder)
  • 54.60 gm olive oil
  • 1 small tub tomato paste
  • 125.00 ml pasta
  • 2 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 medium potatoes, chopped
  • 2 sticks celery, chopped
  • Water
  • 3 carrots, chopped
  • 2 zucchini, chopped
Instructions:
  • Brown the beef in oil in a casserole dish or frying pan. Mix in the vegetables, tomato paste, spices, harissa, and coriander leaves. Cover with water and simmer for about 45 minutes.
  • After simmering, strain the soup, saving the broth. Put the cooked meat back in the pan. Pour in the saved broth. Just before serving, stir in the pasta and cook for about 7 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and orange slices.
