Grilled teriyaki chicken burgers with pineapple, bacon, Swiss cheese, and all the toppings.
Ingredients:
  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 3 slices thick cut bacon
  • 2 large hamburger buns, split
  • 1 tablespoon softened butter
  • 0.25 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 slices pineapple
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 2 slices of iceberg lettuce
Instructions:
  • Marinate chicken breasts in a plastic zipper bag with soy sauce for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. In a large, deep skillet, cook bacon over medium-high heat until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Butter the cut sides of hamburger buns.
  • Heat up your outdoor grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Pat chicken dry after removing from soy sauce. Grill chicken until well-marked, cooked through, and juicy, about 4 to 5 minutes per side. Brush generously with teriyaki sauce as it nears completion. Melt Swiss cheese over chicken with the grill lid covered.
  • As the chicken grills, place the buns open on the grill to toast until they show grill lines, about 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • Spread grilled sides of buns with creamy mayonnaise. Place a juicy cooked chicken breast on each bottom bun, followed by 1 1/2 savory slices of bacon, a sweet pineapple slice, crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, and finish with the top bun.
