Delightful chewy ginger snaps bursting with ginger and molasses, perfect for holiday festivities.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.66666668653488 cup canola oil
  • 0.25 cup unsulfured molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.25 cup white sugar, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, 1 cup sugar, canola oil, molasses, egg, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and salt in a bowl. Chill dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and place 1/4 cup sugar in a bowl.
  • Shape dough into 1-inch balls and cover each one generously with sugar. Gently press each sugared ball onto a baking sheet to flatten.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 7 to 8 minutes until the edges just start to firm up. Allow to cool on the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
