Apple, berry and macadamia crumble

Delicious winter crumble with apples, nuts, and berries.
Ingredients:
  • 20g butter
  • 40.00 gm Brand Caster Sugar
  • 4 apples, cored, sliced
  • 500.00 ml Brand Fresh Frozen Mixed Berries
  • 200g coconut macaroons
  • 50g Macadamias, chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 180C (160C fan). In a large frying pan over high heat, melt the butter and sugar until bubbly. Toss in the apple, stirring occasionally, for 5 mins until it starts to caramelize. Pour in 2 tbsp water and cook for 1 min until slightly reduced. Mix in the berries.
  • Spread the fruit mixture evenly into a 16cm x 21cm (6-cup) baking dish. Top with crumbled macaroons and sprinkled macadamias. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Enjoy hot with cream.
