Create a cozy winter fruit dessert with stewed in-season apples and pears.
Ingredients:
  • 600g packham pears, peeled, quartered, cored
  • 350g granny smith apples, peeled, cored, quartered
  • 89.38 gm honey
  • 21.00 gm lemon juice
Instructions:
  • Thinly slice pear and apple quarters. Place them in a saucepan over gentle heat. Drizzle with honey and lemon juice, then mix well.
  • Cook the fruit covered, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes until it starts to soften. Remove the lid and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for 15-20 minutes until the fruit is tender and the liquid thickens into a syrup. Remove from heat, allow to cool completely, and then serve.
