Tangy apple chutney bursting with sweet and savory flavors: apples, onion, vinegar, sugar, orange zest, ginger and cinnamon.
Ingredients:
  • 2 large tart cooking apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp grated orange peel
  • 1 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, mix chopped apples, onion, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, orange zest, grated ginger, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil over high heat, then lower the heat and cover. Let it simmer for around 40 minutes.
  • Simmer uncovered on low heat a few more minutes to evaporate excess liquid. Cool, cover, and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
