"Tangy cranberry chutney with apple, raisins, celery, and orange zest."
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water, or more as needed
  • 1 large Granny Smith apple - peeled, cored and chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange zest
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 0.25 cup pecans
  • 1 cup golden raisins
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 pinch salt, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Combine cranberries, sugar, and water in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer until cranberries pop, about 8-10 minutes. Add apple, celery, orange zest, orange juice, pecans, raisins, ginger, cloves, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until celery is tender and sauce thickens, about 35 minutes. Remove from heat, cover, and let chutney stand to thicken for 15 minutes. Serve warm.
