Impress your loved ones with Apple Cinnamon Waffles and sweet cider syrup for a delicious wake-up call.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 1/4 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped peeled apple
Instructions:
  • Combine 1 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons Bisquick mix, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a 2-quart saucepan. Add cider and lemon juice, then cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and boiling. Boil and stir for 1 minute, then take it off the heat and stir in the butter.
  • Preheat the waffle iron. (If using a waffle iron without a nonstick coating, you may need to brush it with vegetable oil or spray it with cooking spray before adding batter for each waffle).
  • Combine all waffle ingredients in a large bowl, excluding the apple, and mix until well incorporated. Gently fold in the apple. Pour the batter onto the hot waffle iron and follow manufacturer's guidelines for the perfect amount of batter. Close the lid of the waffle iron.
  • Bake for around 5 minutes until the steam subsides. Gently take out the waffle and serve with syrup.
