Delicious apple cinnamon cake with layers of fresh apples and sweet cinnamon swirl, perfect for fall desserts paired with vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.66666668653488 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 1.75 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 apple, peeled and chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then generously grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Combine the rich brown sugar and aromatic cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Cream together white sugar and butter in a bowl using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  • Add eggs one by one while gently mixing until fully incorporated, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a bowl, blend flour and baking powder. Add this mixture to the creamed butter and stir. Pour in milk and mix until smooth.
  • Gently transfer half of the batter into the loaf pan that you have prepared.
  • Fold in half of the apples and half of the brown sugar mixture into the batter, gently pressing the apple mixture into the batter.
  • Pour the rest of the batter over the apple layer. Sprinkle the remaining apples and brown sugar mixture on top. Gently press the apples into the batter and create a swirl with the brown sugar mixture using a finger or spoon.
  • Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 30-40 minutes.
