Whip up a delicious apple cobbler with McIntosh apples and a cinnamon brown sugar topping, perfect for casual gatherings.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 3 McIntosh apples, cored and sliced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar, divided
  • 0.25 cup rolled oats
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease an 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Place a layer of apples in the prepared baking dish and generously sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of fragrant cinnamon for a perfect balance of sweetness and spice.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, white sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, oats, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Add water and egg, mixing until smooth. Spread the batter evenly over the apple mixture.
  • Combine the rest of the 1/4 cup brown sugar and the remaining 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a bowl; sprinkle over the batter. Dot with butter.
  • Bake until beautifully golden, for 45 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven.
