Moist apple cobbler with cinnamon streusel topping, showcasing layers of Granny Smith apples.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 4 Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, butter, and cinnamon using a pastry blender or fork until the mixture is crumbly. Set aside 3/4 cup of the mixture to use as topping.
  • Lightly dust the bottom of the baking dish with flour mixture, then layer with apples, alternating between flour mixture and apples, and finishing with a layer of apples. Sprinkle the top layer of apples with the remaining 3/4 cup of flour mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until the apples are tender and the topping is lightly browned. Let the cobbler cool for 10 minutes before serving.
