Elevate apple crisp with a Betty Crocker™ oatmeal cookie mix crust, fresh apples, and crispy streusel topping - a delicious twist on a classic favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Oatmeal Cookie Mix
  • Butter, water and egg called for on cookie mix pouch
  • 5 cups coarsely chopped, peeled Granny Smith apples (5 medium)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cold butter
  • 4 oz (from 8-oz package) cold cream cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and generously coat a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine the Crust ingredients in a large bowl using a spoon until a soft dough forms. Press the dough into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown. In a medium bowl, mix together the Filling ingredients, then spread over the baked crust.
  • Place the remaining cookie mix pouch in a medium bowl. Use a pastry blender or fork to cut in the cold butter and cream cheese until the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle it over the apples. Bake for 32 to 37 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender. Allow it to cool on a rack for about 2 hours before cutting it into 4 rows by 3 rows.
