Delicious apple-infused pancakes topped with a sweet brown sugar-oatmeal topping.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats
  • 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons cold butter
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup peeled diced Granny Smith apple (1/4-inch)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Powdered sugar
  • Real maple syrup
  • Sweetened whipped cream
Instructions:
  • Combine brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a medium bowl. Use a pastry blender or fork to cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside.
  • Combine all pancake ingredients in a large bowl until fully mixed. Preheat nonstick griddle to 350°F or a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Test griddle by sprinkling with water - if bubbles jump around, it's ready. Lightly brush with vegetable oil or spray with cooking spray to prevent sticking before heating.
  • Pour a 1/4 cupful of batter for each pancake onto a hot griddle. Sprinkle each pancake evenly with a scant 2 tablespoons of Streusel mixture. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until bubbly on top and dry around edges. Flip and cook until light golden brown, about 1 to 1.5 minutes. Clean griddle between batches if needed.
  • Serve the pancakes with the Streusel side facing up and garnish with your preferred toppings from the list.
