French clafouti: A versatile dessert for any time of day - batter poured over fruit.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds apples - peeled, cored and sliced
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then give a gentle grease to a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Spread sliced apples in a baking dish. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Add eggs and oil; spread over apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until the topping is puffed and golden brown, which should take around 40 to 45 minutes.
