Delicious apple dumplings with flaky crescent dough that will impress your guests with minimal effort.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large red apple
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Peel and core the apple, then slice it into 8 delicious wedges.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, white sugar, and butter. Stir regularly until it comes to a boil, then remove from the heat.
  • Unwrap the crescent dough into 8 pieces. Wrap each piece around an apple slice and place them in a 9-inch square baking dish. Drizzle the sugar water slowly over the dumplings.
  • Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, then generously sprinkle over the dumplings.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until puffed and golden brown. Remove and spoon the hot sugar mixture over the dumplings to glaze them. Serve warm.
