Delicious apple dumplings made with fresh apples and flaky crescent roll dough, baked in a sweet and buttery cinnamon sauce for a delightful fall dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and cored
  • 2 (10 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle Mountain Dew ™
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cut each apple into 8 equal wedges and let them rest.
  • Take each apple wedge and wrap it in a triangle of crescent roll dough, starting at the narrowest end, pinching to seal, and then arrange them in the baking dish.
  • In a small saucepan, melt butter over gentle heat. Mix in sugar and cinnamon until well combined. Drizzle the mixture over apple dumplings, then add soda.
  • Bake until beautifully golden, for 35-45 minutes in the preheated oven.
