Apple oat biscuits: A deliciously healthy coffee companion.
Ingredients:
  • 125 g butter, at room temperature
  • 135.00 gm brown sugar
  • 250.00 ml plain flour, sifted
  • 100.00 gm rolled oats
  • 1.00 gm baking powder
  • 3 jazz apples, 1 peeled and chopped, 2 thinly sliced, skin on
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C (160C fan-forced) and line 2 large baking trays with baking paper.
  • 1. In an electric mixer, whip together butter and sugar until light and creamy. Mix in the egg until well combined. Gently stir in flour, oats, baking powder, and chopped apple. Roll into tablespoon-sized balls and place on baking trays. Top each biscuit with an apple slice, lightly pressing it down. Bake until golden brown, about 30-35 mins. Allow them to cool on wire racks.
