Enhance pork or glazed ham with fresh apple sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 2 medium granny smith apples, peeled, cored, chopped
  • 20.00 gm caster sugar
  • 0.63 gm mixed spice
  • 21.00 gm lemon juice
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine apple, sugar, mixed spice, lemon juice, and 1/4 cup of cold water. Bring to a boil then lower heat to simmer covered for 10 minutes until the apple is tender.
  • Blend the mixture in a food processor until velvety smooth, then season generously with salt and pepper.
