Apple-Cheese Oven Pancake

Impress loved ones with a stunning pancake feast - bake a large batch in a single pan for easy serving!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 2 medium unpeeled tart cooking apples, thinly sliced (2 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh or 2 teaspoons freeze-dried chives
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (1 oz)
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 450°F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking dish. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, milk, salt, and eggs until smooth; pour into baking dish. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown and puffy.
  • In a 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter until sizzling. Sauté apples and chives until apples are tender, then sprinkle sugar and stir until combined.
  • Top the pancake with the apple mixture and sprinkle with cheese. Bake for an additional minute or until the cheese is melted.
