Easy cheesy apple tart: use ready pie crust & filling for a scrumptious dessert in no time!
Ingredients:
  • 1 prepared pie pastry (such as Pillsbury® Pie Crust)
  • 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
  • 7.5 ounces part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1.5 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Roll out the pie crust lengthwise to line the bottom and sides of a 13x9-inch baking dish with a generous 1/2-inch overhang.
  • Combine apple pie filling, ricotta cheese, egg, and shredded Cheddar cheese in a bowl, then spread the mixture over the pastry and smooth it into an even layer.
  • Combine flour, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl. Use a fork or pastry cutter to blend in the butter until it forms a crumbly mixture. Sprinkle over the apple pie filling in the pan.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until the crust turns a beautiful caramel-brown color, for about 15 to 20 minutes.
