Impress your guests with quick and delicious apple walnut cheesy tartlets. Ready in just 25 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 package (1.9 oz) frozen mini phyllo shells (15 shells)
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts, toasted
  • Dash ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (2 oz)
  • Fresh thyme leaves, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F and arrange phyllo shells on a ungreased cookie sheet.
  • In a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Sauté the apple in the butter for 5 minutes until tender, stirring often. Take the skillet off the heat and mix in the walnuts, nutmeg, and blue cheese. Spoon the mixture evenly into the phyllo shells.
  • Bake until cheese is melted and tartlets are warm, about 8 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh thyme before serving.
