Delightful holiday apple-cranberry crisp with oats and pecans.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 0.75 cup cranberries
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.33333334326744 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 0.5 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • First, collect all the ingredients needed. Then, preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and generously butter an 8-inch square baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine apples, cranberries, white sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Combine oats, flour, and brown sugar in a bowl for the topping. Mix in butter pieces with a fork until mixture is crumbly.
  • Gently fold in pecans, then generously sprinkle the topping over the apples in the baking dish.
  • Bake until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown, about 40-50 minutes in the preheated oven.
