Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup apricot preserves
  • 0.75 teaspoon grated fresh ginger root
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • 0.5 cup white wine
  • 0.5 teaspoon white sugar
  • 2 Cornish game hens, halved lengthwise
Instructions:
  • Combine soy sauce, apricot preserves, ginger, garlic, wine, and sugar in a shallow dish. Add hens, coating with the marinade. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to a cozy 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Place the hen halves in a baking dish and pour the leftover marinade over them. Bake uncovered in a preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes, ensuring to baste the hens frequently with the marinade until the juices run clear.
