Create homemade apricot fruit leather using fresh apricots for a tasty, long-lasting snack.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups pitted and diced fresh apricots
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to the lowest setting, around 150 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • In a saucepan, blend the zesty lemon juice, sweet apricots, and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Puree the mixture in a blender until velvety smooth.
  • Line an 11x17-inch pan or cookie sheet with plastic wrap. Spread the pureed fruit evenly, leaving a 1-inch border around the edge.
  • Bake the puree in the preheated oven for 4 to 6 hours, propping the door open slightly with a spoon or tongs, until dried and not sticky. Cut into strips and store in an airtight container once dry.
