Try making delicious orange apricot scones using Bisquick® mix for a quick and easy homemade bread in just 35 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped dried apricots
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange peel
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F and generously spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine Bisquick mix, 1/4 cup sugar, apricots, and orange peel until well mixed. Set aside 1 tablespoon of the egg. Add the rest of the egg and the whipping cream, then mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll the dough in Bisquick mix on a floured surface to coat it completely. Shape into a ball and knead 10 times. Press or roll the dough into an 8-inch round on a cookie sheet. Brush with the reserved egg, sprinkle with sugar and almonds. Cut into 8 wedges but do not separate.
  • Bake until edges turn golden brown (12-15 minutes). Allow to stand for 5 minutes, then delicately separate wedges and serve warm.
