Quick and delicious beef soup with sesame seeds in clear broth, topped with bean sprouts, green onions, red bell pepper, and mushrooms. Perfect pairing with crispy egg rolls for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 (10.5 ounce) cans beef consomme
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups fresh bean sprouts
  • 0.25 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 0.5 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 4 green onions, diced
Instructions:
  • Start by browning the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until golden. Then, sprinkle in sesame seeds, pour in consomme and water. Let it come to a boil, then lower the heat to a gentle simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Toss in bean sprouts, green onions, red pepper, and mushrooms (if desired). Continue cooking for 3 more minutes. Serve piping hot.
