Asian Twist Chicken Wings

Tender chicken wings infused with flavorful sun-dried tomatoes.
Ingredients:
  • 2 sun-dried tomatoes
  • 0.25 cup white wine
  • 0.25 cup barbeque sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 20 chicken wings
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • 1.5 teaspoons sesame seeds
Instructions:
  • Blend sun-dried tomatoes and white wine until smooth, then transfer to a saucepan. Mix in barbeque sauce, sesame oil, hot pepper sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, honey, and cornstarch. Simmer over medium-high heat until thickened; then cool before use.
  • After chilling the marinade, pierce the chicken wings with a fork and place them in a mixing bowl. Toss the wings with garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Pour the chilled marinade over the wings and mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Prepare the outdoor grill at medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Take the chicken wings out of the marinade, shaking off any excess. Grill the wings on high heat for approximately 20 minutes until fully cooked, flipping regularly for even doneness. Transfer the wings to a serving platter, squeeze fresh lime over them, and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
