Asparagus delicately steamed with zesty lime and spicy ginger.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 pounds fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated lime zest
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1.5 teaspoons minced fresh ginger root
  • 0.5 teaspoon white sugar
  • 6 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Fill the bottom half of a steamer pan with 1 inch of water and heat over medium heat. Steam the asparagus in the top half until tender, about 4 to 5 minutes. Transfer to a serving platter.
  • In a bowl, combine lime juice, lime zest, cilantro, ginger, and sugar. Gradually whisk in vegetable oil while mixing. Season with salt and pepper, then drizzle over the asparagus.
