Ingredients:
  • 2 lb asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons real maple syrup or maple-flavored syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Prepare asparagus by snapping off tough ends. In a 12-inch skillet or 4-quart Dutch oven, bring 1 inch of water to a boil. Add asparagus and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes until crisp-tender. Drain before serving.
  • Combine the maple syrup, mustard, and oil in a small bowl, then generously drizzle the mixture over the asparagus.
