Asparagus wrapped in prosciutto

Impress guests with easy yet elegant prosciutto-wrapped asparagus appetizers.
Ingredients:
  • 2 bunches asparagus spears
  • 100g prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • Shaved parmesan
  • Cracked black pepper
  • Olive oil, to serve
Instructions:
  • Prepare the asparagus by trimming the spears and quickly blanching them in boiling water. Transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process for 5 minutes, then drain the asparagus well.
  • Cut each asparagus spear in half lengthwise. Wrap a thin slice of prosciutto around each piece of asparagus, tearing the prosciutto into thinner lengths if needed. Arrange on a serving plate and sprinkle with shaved parmesan and cracked black pepper. Drizzle with olive oil, if desired. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
