Enhance silky treat with vibrant avocado for rich texture. Customize with nuts, chocolate, or spices for extra flair.
Ingredients:
  • 2 vanilla pods
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 lime
  • 4 ripe avocados
  • 500 ml whole milk
Instructions:
  • Cut the vanilla pods in half lengthwise, scrape out the seeds, and add them to a saucepan along with the pods. Stir in the sugar, lemon zest, lime zest, lemon juice, and lime juice. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for a couple of minutes until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl to cool. Be patient and refrain from tasting as it may be hot. Once cooled, discard the vanilla pods. Blend the avocado flesh in a blender with the syrup and milk until smooth. For an ice cream maker, churn the mixture until creamy. Otherwise, pour it into a dish and freeze, stirring every 30 minutes until smooth. Enjoy immediately or store in the freezer for later.
