Elevate your avocado toast with a perfectly fried egg for a hearty and satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 2 slices multigrain bread
  • 1 ripe avocado, pitted, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice, or to taste
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • sea salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium-low heat, gently melt the butter. Carefully add the eggs side by side. Cook until the bottom layer is white and firm enough to flip, about 2 to 3 minutes. Flip the eggs without breaking the yolks and continue cooking to your preferred doneness, about 2 to 5 minutes more.
  • Toast bread slices until perfectly golden brown, for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Combine mashed avocado with lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and sea salt in a bowl. Spread avocado mixture on toast, then top with a fried egg. Season with sea salt and pepper to taste.
