Elevate avocado toast with whole wheat seeded bread, zesty lemon juice, and a kick of red pepper flakes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 slice multigrain seeded sandwich bread (such as Dave's Killer® Bread)
  • 0.5 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • flaky sea salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 pinches red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 ripe avocado
  • 1 wedge lemon
Instructions:
  • Toast bread on the highest setting until it achieves a dark golden brown color all over.
  • Begin by heating a small pan over medium heat. Add a touch of oil to the pan and carefully crack the egg into it. Sprinkle sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes on the egg. Cover the pan and cook until the egg whites are cooked through and the yolk is slightly runny, usually around 3 minutes.
  • Place creamy avocado generously on the toast, ensuring it is spread uniformly. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice and season with a pinch of salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Crown it with a sunny-side-up fried egg, break the yolk, and distribute it over the toast. Add a final touch of lemon juice to your liking and slice the avocado toast in half to savor every bite.
