Baby's Booties

Simple cupcake mix topped with adorable baby bootie decorations and smooth frosting for a cute baby shower treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ White Mix (or your favorite flavor)
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 2 tubs (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting or 2 tubs (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Vanilla Frosting
  • Miniature marshmallows
  • Large gumdrops
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and line 24 muffin cups with paper baking cups. Prepare cake mix as instructed on the box for 24 cupcakes. Allow to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Cool completely for about 30 minutes before enjoying.
  • Peel off paper baking cups. Place 2 cupcakes upside down on separate plates. Slice a small piece off the side of a third cupcake to create a flat surface. Cut third cupcake in half horizontally. Position one half with the cut side against the cupcake on the plate. Place the other half against the second cupcake. Repeat with the rest of the cupcakes. (Refer to diagram for visual guidance)
  • Frost the cupcake booties and attach the toe piece using frosting. Decorate with marshmallows and bows cut from gumdrops. Store the booties loosely covered.
