Delicious bacon and onion biscuits made with Gold Medal® flour, ready in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup whipping (heavy) cream
  • 2 tablespoons milk, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Grease a cookie sheet with shortening or cooking spray. In a 10-inch skillet, cook bacon and onion over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes until bacon is crisp and onion is starting to brown. Drain excess grease.
  • Combine flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar in a large bowl. Add bacon and onion, then mix in whipping cream until a soft dough forms.
  • Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of dough onto a cookie sheet, spacing them about 3 inches apart. Brush the tops with milk. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm or cooled.
