Elegant crescent dough tarts with herbed cream cheese, applewood smoked bacon, and green onion - ideal for entertaining.
Ingredients:
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Dough Sheet or 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count)
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 teaspoons heavy whipping cream or milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped cooked applewood smoked bacon
  • 6 grape tomatoes, quartered (24 pieces)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the crescent dough into a 12x7-inch rectangle. If using crescent rolls, gently press the seams to seal. Cut the dough into 6 rows by 4 rows. Arrange the dough pieces on a cookie sheet with some space between them. Bake in the oven for 10 to 13 minutes until golden brown, then allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Combine cream cheese, 3 tablespoons of green onions, 2 teaspoons of thyme, and cream in a bowl. Use an electric mixer to blend until smooth. Spread 2 teaspoons of the cream cheese mixture onto each baked crescent square.
  • Garnish with crispy bacon, fresh tomatoes, and the rest of the green onions and thyme. Enjoy right away, or refrigerate with a light cover for up to 2 hours before serving.
