Grilled pizza with bacon, cream cheese, tomatoes, and basil - a simple and delicious recipe!
Ingredients:
  • 5 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup garlic-and-herbs spreadable cheese (from 6.5-oz container)
  • 1 package (10 oz) prebaked Italian pizza crusts (two 8-inch crusts)
  • 1 large plum (Roma) tomato, cut into 10 thin slices
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
  • Preheat a gas or charcoal grill. Cook bacon in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it becomes crispy. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel to drain, and set it aside.
  • Evenly distribute the cheese on the pizza crusts, then layer with tomato and bacon before finishing with a drizzle of oil.
  • Grill the pizzas over low heat, cover, and cook for 4 to 8 minutes until the bottoms are deep golden brown and the toppings are warm. Finish by sprinkling basil on top and cutting each into 8 wedges.
